Our
Purple Dragon branch celebrated 5 years in the Kitsilano Community this past March.
Head Instructor, Owner, Sensei Amber Murphy has been a student of founder Professor
Don Jacob for over 11 years. Our Instructors teach Purple Dragon's style of Don
Jitsu Ryu to ages 4-Adult. The eldest member in Vancouver is 74 years old! We
also speciaize in cardio kickoxing, women's self denfese and private classes.
Purple
Dragon is a community within the community that gives support in mental, physical
and spiritual growth. Members gain confidence to apply in school, the work place
and everyday life. Purple Dragon's Don Jitsu Ryu System is practiced by thousands
in 12 countries around the world.
Our All Stars competition team travels internationally
winning World Championships and is supported through the Purple Dragon Kitsilano
Youth Society. Foremost, our main focus is quality Martial Arts, understanding
the bunkais (applications) and the dynamnic terchniques of Don Jitsu Ryu.
Professor
Don Jacob travels from World Headquarters in Trinidad twice a year to grade students
and teach special seminars.
